In April 2016 Sanura Williams turned her insatiable love of reading and desire to celebrate often overlooked writers into My Lit Box, a thoughtfully curated book subscription box. Since it’s founding, My Lit Box has grown from subscription box to a thriving online community committed to celebrating the works of writers of color.
My Lit Box furthered its commitment to diversity by launching the My Lit Box blog in January 2018 to create an online space where the conversation is always centered around writers of color. We hold true to our motto, “Color. Conversation. Community.” We strive to celebrate writers of color, create conversations surrounding their works, and build a community of book lovers and you’re invited to join us on this mission!
